Archery is pretty small in ireland

Ireland isn't exactly known for its archery. Many people don't even realise its a sport! Ironic since humans have been using bows and arrows for at least 10,000 years(A lot longer than rugby). But the Irish only started doing archery in the bronze age but oddly they stopped until the 10th century. To this day the history of the Irish not using bows is very apparent. With the number of archers in Ireland being minuscule compared to our neighbour the U.K who have a long history of archery. In conclusion Ireland doesn't have the largest archery community but the one it has i s golden!

What is "Midland_Archery"

Midland_archery is my journey of archery and the lifestyle that comes with it as well as anything I learn and can share with the archery community. So far I have over 5 years of experience and a few minor titles under my wing. I shoot a kaya k3 Riser with 36lb kaya k5 limbs with a barebow setup. One of the biggest lessons I've learned through archery is that nothing happens overnight and that diet and mindset make more of a difference than "good gear". Like anything, you have to train, practice and perfect your form. I'm Gerard Eady and welcome to Midland_Archery
